How to start burning body fat for your Ibiza holiday

Do you want to get in shape? Do you want to burn body fat in just 20 min a day? Then look no further, this is how we do it.

The triangle of health

To our TWC-Ibiza family members we always say that to lose body fat, the triangle of health must be in place. Three times per week some form of resistance training, proper nutrition and energy regulation. The first two are very clear. With energy regulation we mean, stress reduction, plenty of rest in the form of sleep and proper breathing. We will craeate a blog post about our health triangle soon but now we talk about fat burning on hyper drive. Are you ready?

Nutrition

Burning body fat starts by stopping it from building up in your body. So cut out sugars, processed or canned food and fats from your diet. Try to minimize bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Instead you can use Quinoa, Spelt bread, sweet potatoes and oatmeal for breakfast. Try to have 3 healthy meals a day and you are well on your way.

The Kettlebell swing

We love the kettlebell swing as a fat burner. It raises your heart very quickly and it speeds up your metabolism. Your fat burning will be in hyperdrive long after you finished your training.

You have to make sure that you receive proper instruction about the kettlebell swing. When done wrong you can seriously hurt your lower back, shoulders and elbows. The Workout Club Ibiza specializes in the Russian kettlebell, so you are more then welcome to give the canonball with handles a try.

Sprints

The sprint makes you feel like you are flying. Before you do so make sure you do a proper warm up, we don’t like you to pull your hamstring. Do 3 sprints on the beach for about 200 metres with 40 second rest in between.

If you really like to challenge yourself find yourself a hill and sprint up that hill. Your body fat percentage will drop that’s a promise. Now head towards a beach and start  burning body fat. And send us your results.

The body requires a certain level of glucose to fuction at its best. The best source of glucose is from carbohydrates. Of course, the body can readily break down proteins into glucose when needed, but this requires the release of adrenaline. The more your body relies on adrenaline to convert proteins into glucose because you aren t eating enough carbs, the further you will push yourself into adrenal burnout. This will happen quickly or slowly depending on how extreme the diet is, as well as other factors like whether or not you ingest a lot of caffeine or if you re under a lot of stress.
