How to go from exercise avoider to exercise addict in 30 days: join TWC-Ibiza!

When I moved to Ibiza in May, I never thought that only a few months later, I’d be officially addicted to working out, something I’ve basically avoided for my entire life. But thanks to The Workout Club Ibiza(TWC-Ibiza), I really am and I have no intention of going back to my old, lazy ways.

Before moving to Ibiza, I’d done a bit of exercise on and off, but never managed to stick to anything for more than a couple of weeks, and never pushed myself harder than doing 20 minutes on the treadmill or a few dozen lengths of the pool. I definitely never went anywhere near my limits and just saw exercise as something I knew I had to do but never really got much enjoyment out of.

Now, after joining TWC-Ibiza a couple of months after I arrived on the island, I’ve done a complete 180 and find myself really looking forward to the sessions I go to three times a week in San Antonio Bay, wondering how hard the trainer is going to push us this time. But I don’t think just any exercise club would have had the same effect; TWC-Ibiza has got something special. Here’s how they turned me from an exercise avoider to an exercise addict in only 30 days:

You never know what you’re going to get

If you think exercise has to be boring, turn up to just one TWC-Ibiza session and they’ll prove you wrong. In my first month at TWC, I’ve used everything from kettlebells to the TRX, the battle rope to resistance bands and even if the trainers don’t bring any props, they’ve shown us hundreds of exercises you can do just with your own bodyweight. In fact, sometimes they’re the hardest!

I also love the fact that there are two trainers who work in San Antonio and they both have completely different styles. While Chris AKA the slavedriver (just kidding, Chris, you know we love ‘The Great Destroyer’ really!) particularly loves the kettle bells and the battle rope, Virgil is all about bodyweight training, and it’s great to have a mix of the two types of training.

It’s not all about exercise

As they say on their website, TWC really is a family and you feel part of it right from your first training session. Not only are the workouts always really good fun and filled with banter, but TWC-Ibiza also organises socials on a pretty regular basis, so you soon get to know what everyone’s like after a couple of beers too J. As a newbie to the island, it’s been a great way to meet people and make friends, something that’s always hard when you move to a new place.

TWC-Ibiza helps you reach your goals

Even if you only join the group training sessions, the trainers always make sure they work with everyone individually to help them reach their own personal goals – whether that’s losing weight for a big event or just keeping motivated.

The email support you get from lovely Marisa and Jinny is also really helpful. For me, as well as wanting to get fitter and more toned, I also wanted to improve my nutrition, and they sent me loads of good advice, as well as an eBook, to help me on that front

It really works!

I’ve only been a full member of TWC for a month so far, but I’ve already seen a big change in my fitness and how toned I am. I’m even going to have to buy some new clothes because my leg and bum muscles have started bursting out of my denim shorts!
More importantly, though, I’ve actually stuck at an exercise programme for a full month, and I think once you’ve got to that point there’s no turning back. I’m looking forward to being pushed even harder next month. Bring it on, guys!

Heya fantastic website! Does running a blog similar to this require a great deal of work? I have virtually no understanding of programming however I had been hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyways, should you have any ideas or techniques for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off topic nevertheless I simply wanted to ask. Many thanks!
